Jeernodhara Samithi & Vishnumurthy Seva Samithi Combined Meeting at Agalpady Nadumane Padippure on 01-03-2020

As per the direction of Shri. Vishnumurthy Daiva during BayaluKola on Feb 16th, 2020 - a combined meeting of Ubrangala Temple Jeernodhara Samithi & Agalpady Nadumane Padippure Shri Vishnumurthy Seva Samithi, was held at Agalpady Nadumane Padippure on March 1st, at 2.30 PM.

Members and office bearers of Ubrangala Temple Jeernodhara Committees & members and office bearers of Shri. Vishnumurthy Seva Samithi attended in large numbers. Meeting was presided over by Jeernodhara Samithi President Dr. U B Kunikullaya. It was attended by Temple Managing Trustee Dr. Kishore Kumar Kunikullaya, Shri. Nadumane Harsha Kunikullaya of Agalpady Padippure, Vice President Shri. Vasudeva Bhat Uppangala (Managing Trustee of Agalpady Shri. Annapurneshwari Temple), Committee Gen Secretary Shri. Babu Master Agalpady, Treasurer Shri. Ishwar Rao Mailthotty, Mathru Samithi Hon. Advisor Smt. Vasanthi Teacher, Mathru Samithi President Smt. Prathibha Rani and Youth wing President Shri. Rajesh Agalpady. Shri. Madhusudhan Ayar, Owner of M/s Madhu Sales Corporation, Mangalore & Philanthropist - was the Chief guest for the function.

The meeting began with a prayer by Smt. Prathibha Rani. Shri. Chandrashekhara Kurup, Secretary, gave a review of works completed after the Anujna Kalasha on 30.01.2017 at Temple and Dhoomavathi Gudi site. Shri Babu Master further elaborated on this. Major works completed were listed : Website inauguration, Construction of Bridge across the Ubrangala Rivulet, laying Tunnel across the approach road, Outer prangana expansion with JCB work, Land and Trees - donation/purchase, Gharbhagudi (Sanctum Sanctorum), Theertha Mantap roof repair & Copper covering works, Suthugopuram roof repair, Dhoomavathi Gudi construction, Granite Purchase, Starting of Granite cutting & laying works - were the main jobs thus far. Shramadaana by ladies & gentlemen - from near & far - was instumental in getting these works done.

Following this, Shri. Ishwar Rao gave a detailed account of the Income-Expenditure for the Jeernodhara works done so far. Total Income from all accounts was Rs. 68,62,515 which includes Advance money of Rs. 5,20,000 (To be counted as Deficit). Total Expenditure was Rs. 67,78,363, with Balance in the Banks being Rs. 84,152.

Trustee Dr. Kishore Kumar thanked the devotees for their whole hearted support & selfless Shramadaana seva all through the Jeernodhara works. Presently, Shramadaana is being carried out daily nights from 7 - 10 PM & daytimes at weekends. Preparatory works for Granite laying in the form of removal of surface cement concrete layer of Gopurams, Arikotlu, Theerthamantapam and putting concrete bed for Granite laying are being carried out by way of Shramadaana both at temple and Dhoomavathi Gudi sites. He also informed the gathering of executive committee`s decision of starting constrction of Agrashala simultaneously with the Granite laying work. He suggested separate fund collection mechanism for the same.

Mr. Madhusudan Ayar, Chief guest, extolled the village people for their efforts and urged them, the Management committe and Jeernodhara Committee to come up with plans for finishing renovation early and getting ready for BrahmaKalashotsavam in early 2021, as per the Shri. Vishnumurthy Daivam`s wishes. He also suggested various ways for fund raising. He led by example by promising a sizeable fund for the Agrashala project and as part of that said that would be sending Rs. 25,000 (in addition to the Rs. 10,000 he had given on the occasion of foundation stone laying of Agrashala.

President Dr. U. B. Kunikullaya moderated the discussion regarding fund raising. Smt. Vasanthi Teacher, Mathru samithi Hon advisor, promised full support from the Mahila wing & discussed their plans for collecting a substantive sum for the BrahmaKalashotsavam. Shri. Venugopala Senthukoodlu donated Rs. 6,000 during the meeting for the Jeernodhara works. One of the plans for the fund raising for Agrashala work was conducting a lucky dip. A separate committee with Shri. Vishwanath Mavinakatte as Chairman, Shri. Shashidara Tekkemoole, Shri Harish Gosada, Udaya Kumar Kallakatta as Covenors and 20 members was constituted to discuss & finalise details about this. Group Committees to go for fund collection to various places in and around our Panchayat were also suggested.

1) Completion of Dhoomavathi Gudi works

2) Completion of Granite laying work

3) Electrification and Plumbing

4) Roof construction for Nadappura

5) Plastering of wall surrounding the temple

6) Construction of Agrashala

7) Renovation of Nagabana

8) Deepening of outer Well

9) Construction of proper Approach Road to the temple

10) Repair of the paths leading to Katunuji Sannidhi and Dhoomavathi Gudi

11) Building a side wall of Ubrangala rivulet
