Green Hero of India Dr K R Nair visits Ubrangala temple

Dr. R. K. Nair, of `Green Hero of India` fame - (because of his commitment for reforestation of India by Miyawaki forest technology), Gujrat, visited Ubrangala Shri Mahadeva Parvathi and Shri Shashtara temple today forenoon. He was recieved by the representatives of temple administrative committee, temple Jeernodhara committee and Brahmakalashotsava committee. Dr. Nair had come to the temple by special invitation by Mr Rajesh Agalpady, president of the youth wing of the Jeernodhara committee. After taking darshan and receiving prasadam, he had interaction with the assembled devotees & committee members. He evinced keen interest in knowing the temple history. He stressed the need for inculcating cultural ethos in the younger generation. He made generous donation of ₹ 1,21,000 to the ongoing Annachatra project and also purchased 50 nos of lucky dip coupons brought out in connection with the Annachatra project.
